Down, down, down!
Didn't take long at all for Kels to figure out how fun it is to drop things off the deck to the ground below!

Fun with 'Mush'
Edible Bling
Kaitlyn and I had fun making this edible jewelry from yogurt covered pretzels and gushers. We found the idea on the makeandtakes facebook page.

Disney on Ice - Princess Wishes
Grandma Jo gave us the wonderful gift of two 'nearly' front row seats to see the Disney on Ice - Princess Wishes show. Kaitlyn and I, along with Grandma Jo, Sydnee and Eric enjoyed the spectacular show. I never guessed that Kaitlyn could sit for two hours without getting bored but she was completely entertained for the entire show! Thank you so much for the tickets, Grandma Jo!

Breakfast with the Princesses!
No we didn't take a trip to Disney. Instead the local high school put on a spectacular fundraiser. They dressed up as famous characters and served a pancake breakfast to a huge crowd of fascinated kids and their families. What a fantastic idea! The timing of the event was perfect as well because it was on the same day that Princesses on Ice was being held in Grand Rapids!

Hard to Say GoodBye
Since late last year, Kaitlyn has had a bit of a rough time saying Good Bye to me when I drop her off at preschool two days a week. So one night I made a couple things to help ease the event: the first is a bunch of Hersey chocolate bars that I wrapped in little teddy bear wrappers that say "I am brave" on the back; the second is a bottle of 'magic' lotion that makes your tears dry up the minute you rub the lotion on the back of your hands. I can't say that these two ideas worked like a charm, but they do help my tender preschooler say goodbye to Mommy for a couple hours each week.
