"The Baby's Room ..."

... continues to be a great source of amusement for Kaitlyn and all of her dolls. She is going to be such a great help once her little sis is born!

All Snug in her Nightie...

Bless my husband for letting me surf through my favorite websites and catalogs to order my own birthday gifts. Kaitlyn was with me when UPS delivered my package from LTD. I had forgotten that I ordered her a Christmas Dora nightgown as well. So of course I had to give it to her once she saw it. Its a little long for now but should fit perfect come Christmas. It makes her look so tall!! She certainly will be all snug in her bed when Santa comes in a few months!

Tickets, please....

Kaitlyn put this bus together one morning while I was doing dishes. The first passenger is her newest best friend - "Blankie Baby". Yes, that is her beloved blankie "transformed" into a baby and all strapped in tight to the first seat on the bus. Can you tell how proud she was of what she had done!

Summertime!

All By Myself!

Kaitlyn is now 3 and 1/4 - I can't believe in less than 9 months she will be 4?!! Time certainly flies. In the last three months Kaitlyn has beamed in pride multiple times as she successfully completed some "Big Girl" tasks. She can now open the baby gate leading down the stairs, she can buckle both of her car seat buckles by herself, she can zip nearly any doll sized or person sized sweatshirt zipper, she can finally get the fridge open by herself and most notably, she mastered the task of opening the wrapper and putting the straws in her favorite juice boxes! I'm sure there are more items that I am missing. We have enjoyed celebrating all of these accomplishments with you, Sweet Pea! Kaitlyn showing off the fact that she can now put the straw in her Capri Sun. I know adults who struggle with that feat so we think its pretty impressive! :)

The Big Top!

Last week on a cooler morning Kaitlyn and I setup and pretended to stage a circus in the driveway. We filled her water table with styrofoam peanuts and pretended that one side was peanuts and the other popcorn. Ever so carefully, Kaitlyn scooped snacks into baggies and delivered them to her babies - our audience at the circus. We had three circus acts, a seal that could catch hoops, a tiger that could do hopscotch and a zebra that could walk backwards! Later in the day we snacked on real circus peanuts, played our Sesame Street circus game and then made a fun cotton candy craft. Again I was thrilled with Kaitlyn's excitement to play and pretend something new. Now if only I could be this creative everyday!

Kaitlyn volunteered to be the assistant in the Seal Act and throw his rings.

Look, Mom!

... I can get my cheese to stick to the door! It was a photo-worthy picture, but she was advised to not do it again! :)
