Cat in the Hat Birthday Intro...

We celebrated Kaitlyn's fourth birthday 'Seuss' style with a huge Cat in the Hat Birthday Blowout on the 14th of May. I had SOOO much fun putting this party together that I have already forgotten how many nights I got up at 2am to put different pieces and parts of the party together. It was such a blast and I know Kaitlyn will never forget it!
To get the house looking festive, we hung blue lanterns from our ceiling and then cutouts from the Cat in the Hat from those lanterns. We put Dr. Seuss characters around a Welcome sign on our front door, stuck Cat in the Hat hat cutouts all over the house, set out all of the Dr. Seuss books that we had and that we had borrowed and adorned our entertainment center with a plush Cat in the Hat and Fish in a bowl. On the tables we put festive centerpieces made with colorful lollipops, a Cat in the Hat hat and pencil for each guest and of course - red fish and blue fish gummies.
Our menu included green eggs and ham, of course, green cupcakes with 'Sam I Am' on them, red fish and blue fish cookies, blue jello with fish in it, goldfish crackers, Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes complete with blue cotton candy 'hair' on top, Cat in the Hat hat treats made from colored tootsie rolls and cookies dipped in white chocolate and more red fish and blue fish gummies - yum!
"I know lots of fun games that are funny!" said the Cat in the Hat. The games we played included - Fish for One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish and Blue Fish, a green eggs and ham relay, a balance an item on your head relay, a make a mess and then pick it up relay and then a fly a kite and ride a trike relay!
Its Party time!!
