Kaitlyn Goes to Preschool!

We hadn't planned to send Kaitlyn to preschool; homeschooling is going great and Kaitlyn enjoys learning almost as much as I enjoy teaching her! But after taking dance class at the school and seeing all the cool craft projects on the wall and the fun playground equipment, Kaitlyn became curious. I always told her that she could go to 'real' school if she wanted, so we setup a time to go visit the class. God handed us just the perfect preschool setting for Kaitlyn - two afternoons a week, 8 kids - 6 girls and 2 boys - 2 WONDERFUL and enthusiastic teachers - just perfection. On the first day of school, Kaitlyn went in the classroom and never looked back. She hugged and kissed me and Sissy and that was that. At the end of the first day, the teacher said that she kept herself very busy and she told me she had just a GREAT day. I don't think I've ever been a more proud Mommy. Way to go Sissy! We continue to do a modified version of homeschooling now. I don't have to worry about doing crafts or artsy stuff since I know she gets lots of that at school. But she is far beyond learning the letters and colors that is the curriculum at preschool so I will continue to work with her on reading and addition at home.
