Happy 5th Birthday, Kaitlyn!

In mid-May, my baby girl turned five! We celebrated with nothing short of a royal extravaganza to celebrate our sweet Princess' big day. I can hardly believe that five years have passed since this precious girl made my dreams of becoming a Mommy come true. And I am so absolutely blessed to have shared the majority of ever single day of her five years of life with her! It has been nothing short of miraculous watching her grow from a colicky infant to a happy, intelligent and well-behaved toddler, to a gentle, timid, imaginative preschooler , to a loving and eager-to-help big sister, to now - the always singing, smiling, compassionate and fun-loving five year old who has found her courage and confidence and will talk the ear off of any visitor we have! Kaitlyn, Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back. We sit and watch and listen to you in awe of the masterpiece that the Good Lord has created in you. We love listening to the songs you make up, always telling a sweet story and incredibly, with the lyrics always rhyming. We love to listen to you imagine with your dolls and toys. It warms our heart to watch you teach Kelsey things and play games with her; she adores you more than you could ever know and what a lucky little girl she is to have such a magnificent big sister to look up to. You are such a gifted little girl. You have such a knack for teaching others with gentle instruction, for planning 'parties', for imagining with the simplest of things. Lately we adore watching you hula hoop and we share in the excitement that doing science experiments brings you! When you read and rattle off math facts to Daddy and I, we are so very proud of you, and our jaws often drop as we are forced to realize just how big you really are. We are so blessed and thankful to be your parents. Mommy's prayer for you this year is that you would be blessed with continued good health, that you would continue to fill your days with songs and dance, imaginative play and all the innocence that a child can know. May you grow deeper in your faith, continue to love learning, grow more and more confident in your ability to go places without Mommy and may Jesus continue to sparkle and shine through your glowing personality. Happy 5th Birthday, Kaitlyn Elizabeth!
