Fun at the Neighbors!

Tuesday night our neighbor's granddaughter Claire and her mommy came over to see if Kaitlyn wanted to play in the slip in slide. Of course! So K and I grabbed some of her outside babies and some bottles and chairs and went next door. How fun! Claire and her mom were in our Kindermusik last fall and we were reminded what a small world it really is when we learned that Claire's grandparents live next door!
Initially Kaitlyn didn't want to put her suit on or get in the water. Instead she wanted to just push her baby down the slide. But shortly into is she decided it would be fun to walk down the wet path and so she did that and fell... of course... and got soaked. We raced home for a potty break and then put her suit on and she played and played in the freezing cold water with Claire and her baby sister also named Kaitlyn. Grandma Linda gave the girls some popsicles and after that treat the girls ventured into the backyard to play on the playset. Kaitlyn loves their trapeze bar so she swung like a monkey. The girls pushed their babies in the swings and had a great time.
We are blessed to have lots of friends that live within just a few miles of our home, but it was a spectacular treat to have a friend to play with right next door.
Shortly after we went inside for the evening, Jeff got called to a nasty accident. I kept Kaitlyn up long enough to try and catch some pictures of the accident on the news but there was so much election coverage, I never did catch it. We had a lot of fun playing dolls in the meantime.
Here K is taking her baby grocery shopping - she put that purse right up on her shoulder just like I carry the diaper bag.
And now its "tummy time" for the babies and they are taking a sniff of her beloved Blankie.
