Easter Party!

The hostesses ... The treats ...
Tuesday we had six mommies and 10 kids ages 6 - 11 months over for an Easter Party. We kicked off the party by playing some games. First the kids pretended to be bunnies and hopped up to the garden and picked out a carrot. Then they and the rest of the kids did the activity that was on the back - such as spin 3 times or sing your ABCs. Those kids were smart! Next we played "Hot Easter Egg" (instead of Hot Potato). Each time a kid got "out" I let them push the buttons the cd player for the next round. Sweet Jonah was begging to be "out" so he could press the buttons ... it was so cute ... and so typical for a just 2 year old!
We were going to also play Egg and Spoon Race, but I thought the kids might be ready for something else. So we moved to craft time. We did a cute and easy crafts where the kids decorated a paper egg and then stapled it to the back of another egg and turned it into a bunny rabbit. Cute! After craft time it was snack time!

After snack, the kids grabbed their Easter baskets and head downstairs to hunt for eggs. Before heading down I gave each kid a different color egg and then they were instructed to find only that color of eggs. It worked out well and made it fair for all of the different ages present.

After the egg hunt, the kids had fun playing with all of our toys. Happy Easter, friends! Thanks for celebrating our Risen Savior with us!
