"Spotter Hand"

Kaitlyn hates dirty hands and she hates making messes - especially when she is eating. So about a year ago we invented a term called the "spotter hand" that we continue to use almost everyday. When Kaitlyn is taking a bite of something messy, she will put her other hand out underneath the object/spoon/fork as if to catch anything that drips. Its so adorable. Sometimes if I am feeding her a bite of something, I will inadvertently put out my hand to be the "spotter". She ususally pushes my hand away and says, "I'll be the spotter hand, Mommy". And then she puts her hand out. Just something silly ... but something that we will never forget in the years ahead!
