"I'm a Mommy!"

Sunday night after returning home from my parent's house, Kaitlyn was playing with Diego in her toy room while Jeff and I were relaxing on the couch.... not a frequent scene in our house. Kaitlyn came into the living room and said in the sweetest voice ever, "Mommy, will you please take me to the potty." It was so adorable that I think both of our hearts just melted instantaneously. As I was holding her hand and walking with her to the bathroom, I told her that she was the sweetest baby ever. She stopped, looked me right in the eye and said in the most confident voice, "I'm not a baby. . . I'm a mommy. . . I'm Diego's mommy. . . I'm the mommy to many babies ..." and then she listed about 5 of her toys that she was the "mommy" too include Rescue Pack, "Monks" and even the plush stuffed Easter Bunny. It was adorable! You are right, Kaitlyn ... you are not a baby ... you are the sweetest, most innocent and gentle little princess ever. And you are also, the sweetest "mommy" ever. Your dolls, stuffed animals and toys are so lucky to be loved by you!
