Almost Spring!

In early March Kaitlyn and I took advantage of some unusually long 'Kelsey naps' and spent some quality time outdoors in the mild weather. We first took turns hiding some laminated jungle animal cutouts and then pretended that we were Diego and Alicia and had to go on a rescue mission to find them. Later we got the bubble wands out and had fun making and popping bubbles. Then we got the birdseed box out and Kaitlyn pretended that her dumptruck was hauling away garbage (birdseed) but that some kids' toys (flower counters) were also getting hauled away so she needed to go to the dump and rescue them. Such an imagination. The birdseed made me think of bird feeders so while we had that out we spread peanut butter on a huge pine cone that we had picked up at the park last fall and then poured bird seed on it before hanging it out for the birds. It was wonderful time together and wonderful time spent outdoors.
