Gym Day!

On Friday morning after our nursery rhyme fun, we got ready and headed to our first Gym Day. This event is hosted by a local homeschool group called Wisdom. I didn't really know what to expect so I packed a bunch of active games like our parachute, a hopscotch set, some balls etc. Kaitlyn decided that she needed to pack a bag of her own too so she stuffed as many Diegos and Doras into her little blue bag as possible. We prayed on the way there that we would see some familiar faces and the Lord answered our prayers. I saw some moms that I used to go to church with, some ladies that I went to high school with and even some ladies that used to babysit me! :) The morning was well planned. We hung out with kids six and under and there were about 20 of them! We had a snack, some gym time and then a craft. Kaitlyn was a little young for the events but I am so glad to have my foot in the door with this group because as she gets older, it will be wonderful to have this group of home school friends to hang out with. Later this month we are going to go on a field trip with this group to see the butterflies at the Meijer Gardens. We're already looking forward to it!
