Snowy Saturday

We stayed home nearly all day on Saturday, per Kaitlyn's request. With Daddy at nearly 100%, I decided to try a couple other fun ideas that I had read about but that I thought I could use an extra set of hands to try and implement. The first was popsicle painting. I added food coloring to water and put them in some popsicle molds and froze them. Once frozen I let Kaitlyn use them to paint with. She loved it ... until I broke the handle off of the blue one - her favorite!

Then Kaitlyn wanted to fingerpaint with her feet. So I painted her feetwith green paint, we taped some paper to the floor and let her "paint". She was giggling so much when I was painting the bottom of her feet; it was contagious and hilarious!

Then we got really crazy and dumped out three garbage bags full of styrofoam peanuts that I had been acquiring from anyone who would give them to me. We made snow angels and then I got the parachute out and we had a SNOWSTORM. Yes, you can only imagine the mess we made by scooping all of those styrofoam peanuts onto the parachute and then thrusting it into the air over and over. But it was a riot for all of us. Kaitlyn decided she wanted to go play in the real snow so she and I went outside and Jeff actually ended up doing the final cleanup - thanks Daddy! I'm going to try and post the snowstorm video that we took on the next post.
