Our timing was perfect. We were the first ones in line for the wagon ride and we got right on. It was a pleasant, smooth ride through the woods and evergreen tree fields. Kaitlyn even sang Jingle Bells to us on the ride.
After getting off the wagon, K and Jeff visited with the horses - Sam and Rocky and then we went inside to warm up. I believe we were the first to visit Santa that day too -he was having some trouble getting his moustache to stick .... good thing Kaitlyn is super innocent and naive. She didn't want to sit on this Santa's lap but she did get up close and answer his questions. And again, she told him that she wanted a snowman! We were walking away and she tugged at my hand and said - "Dirds wants to sit on Santa's lap." So back we went to see Santa. He was a great sport and talked right to the doll as if she were human. I can't remember what she wanted for Christmas - Kaitlyn did think of something but I forgot.
Next we got hot chocolate and a snack and ate by the woodstove.
The petting zoo turned out to just be a bunny in a cage so we skipped getting in line for that. It was a splendid fall/winter morning to do these outdoor activities and we had a great time.
